Rosanna Ramos-Velita has over twenty years of experience in international finance, entrepreneurship and technology. She has held leadership positions in global consumer banking, Latin America investment banking and microelectronics design and business development. As Senior Executive at Citigroup, she was CFO of Global Marketing and Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Global Consumer Group, Citigroup’s largest business worldwide which includes Citibank, Credit Cards and Consumer Finance. Prior to Citigroup, she, in partnership with a Wharton classmate, founded eLuminas Capital Group, a financial services firm focusing on providing banking products to the US Hispanic market. eLuminas advised Citigroup in the development of products and services for Hispanics in the United States. As Investment Banker at Bankers Trust and UBS, she led and participated in key Latin American M&A and Capital Market transactions such as the IPO of Unibanco in Brazil, Cementos Lima in Peru and the Privatization of Venezuela's telecommunications company. She started her career in engineering as a Microchip Designer at AT&T Microelectronics. Ms. Ramos-Velita actively participates in Microfinance. She is a member of the Board of Directors, Treasurer and Chair of the Latin American and Caribbean Advisory Council of Grameen Foundation, a leading global microfinance organization founded by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize recipient. She also serves as member of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Innovative Financing Advisory Group. Ms. Ramos-Velita holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an MA in International Business from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota. She is an undergraduate IIE-Fulbright fellow.
