Mr. Pereira Lopes joined GP Investments in 1997 and has been a Partner and Managing Director thereof since 2000. Prior to joining the GP Investments, he worked for ING Barings in Brazil. Currently, he is a member of the board of directors of GP Investments, Magnesita, Tempo, BHG and San Antonio and a member of the Latin American Executive Board of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Between 2004 and 2007, Mr. Pereira Lopes was the CEO of Equatorial Energia, one of GP’s portfolio companies. He previously served as a member of the board of directors of Equatorial Energia, Cemar, Gafisa, Submarino, IBest, IHH, Allis, Fratelli Vita, Shoptime, Webmotors, Mercado Eletrônico, Hopi Hari and Playcenter. Mr. Pereira Lopes holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
